Customers were sent scattering at a Queensland shopping centre today (June 26) when a car suddenly crashed through a pedestrian entrance.

CCTV footage released shows a silver Volkswagen crashing through the centre’s doors, then careering down a corridor, bouncing off one wall and smashing into another.

Police said the driver, an 87-year-old woman, was taken to hospital with minor injuries, and that no one else was hurt.
